Welcome to my blog All About Maps.  Of course I love maps and you do, too, or you wouldn’t be reading this. I love online maps, personal maps, atlas maps, topo maps, any kind of map.  Why do we love maps so much?  My theory is that as we are looking at the map, we are imagining ourselves in that place.  It is our cheap and legal escape from reality.

There is a word for us, we are cartophiles. To the uneducated we are collectors of carts!  Ain’t that a hoot!  How many maps do you have?  How long have you been collecting maps?
